Our Vision
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you felt isolated or embarrassed, like when you need to see a doctor or therapist? Seeking help can be daunting, and it’s completely normal to feel uncomfortable.
You make the appointment and gather the courage to go, all while hoping you won’t run into anyone you know. But then, unexpectedly, you do—perhaps it’s a neighbor, a co-worker, or an old friend. Initially, you might feel a rush of embarrassment, but that quickly gives way to relief.
In that moment, you realize: you’re not alone.
That simple nod of recognition becomes a powerful reminder that we all share similar struggles.
This is the heart of **ParentsBYachad**. Our vision is to help parents experience that sense of connection, reassuring you that even if you haven’t met someone yet, you are part of a supportive community.
While ParentsBYachad is still in its early development, we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be offering virtual Zoom support groups. These will provide an opportunity for us to connect, share, and support one another, no matter where we are.
In addition, we’re working on a free online course called “Family Connections.” This course will guide parents on how to communicate effectively with their ill child, nurturing understanding and connection during challenging times.
Our ultimate goal is
to host retreats, Shabbatons, and more—there’s no limit to what we can achieve together.
I welcome your feedback on how you envision this group evolving. Please feel free to email parentsbyachad@gmail.com with your thoughts.
Please watch for information about our first Zoom meeting. We look forward to beginning this journey with you.
